History

「 Department of Ceramics Materials 」 since 1975,and the department has been changed to the 「 Department of Materials
Science and Engineering 」 .The initial goals were to produce professional materials scientists and, at the same time, provide conventional ceramic industries a basis for the basic and applied materials research in the Taiwan . The faculty members of the department include three professors , four associate professors and two assistant professors with their specialties in electronic ceramic, optical fibers, engineering ceramics, nano-materials , and bio-ceramics. The graduates from the department have been known for their excellent performance in the ceramic industry, research institutes, and universities.
